We are looking forward to an active February at the dojo and following are dates of events for your calendars:
- We will be holding a second test on Saturday, February 10th, for those members who were unable to test on the 13th because of sickness.
- Didier Boyet has generously offered to teach at our dojo on Wednesday evening, February 21st, Saturday morning, the 24th and Monday evening the 26th. The weekend following, March 2nd to 4th, Didier Sensei will be teaching a full seminar at Daiwa and I want to encourage everyone to attend. In order to support this, the dojo will be closed for the 10:15 and noon time classes on Saturday, March 3rd. Please watch the board for arrangements to carpool.
- March 17 -18th, I am honored to have been invited to teach at Fox Valley Aikido’s 25th Anniversary Seminar. Of course, this seminar would be open to anyone who would like to attend.
- April 20 – 22, Sesshin with Genjo Marinello Osho at San Diego Aikikai.
- May 11-13, Instructor’s Intensive is planned to be held in upstate New York. Details with be forthcoming.
- July 20 – 25, BNA Summer Camp at the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington
REMINDER: there is a change to Tuesday and Thursday evening classes: Tuesday will be a free practice evening, supervised by me, for weapons. I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to keep your weapons at the front of your minds. Thursday, after Zazen, will be Iaido and it will be open to those of you who wish to practice with bokken.
