North County Aikikai is truly saddened by the passing of JD Sandoval, Sensei, a valued, respected and much loved member of our aikido community. Many of us have met him over the years at one of our camps or when he came to our dojo to teach a seminar. He would arrive with a group of his students and it was a pleasure to see how he worked with them, and with us, on the mat. He was admired for his aikido and the way of his teaching. He was a kind and generous person and it is a great loss to our community that he will no longer be able to share his aikido with us.
We have made a donation of behalf of North County Aikikai to his family through GoFund Me to help cover his funeral costs. Thank you all for your donations.
