Dojo News through the New Year

Training outside last Saturday at Seagrove Park in Del Mar was a treat.  The weather was beautiful, fresh, sunny and clear and the consensus was:  ‘let’s do it again, sooner than later!’

Looking Ahead:
  • Friday, December 7th San Diego Aikikai’s holiday seminar with Juba Nour Sensei.  I encourage all students to attend (see flyer below), but our dojo will be open for those who can’t make the seminar on the Saturday morning.
  • The following weekend, Sensei will host an afternoon holiday dojo party at her house, Sunday, December 16 at 2 pm.  Come hungry, there will be freshly made crepes for lunch and ping pong, weather permitting!  Bring your families.
  • Last day of training before Christmas, Saturday, December 22nd.  The dojo will then be closed through the New Year although will be opened for free practice and also for a full dojo clean!  Stay in touch.
  • First class of 2019 to honor the New Year will be held on Saturday, January 5th.  The class will be open to all members of the dojo, children and adults.
  • The second of our Self Defense classes: ‘Aikido in Personal Safety’ will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 afternoon from 2pm onwards.  Please stay tuned for further communications from RC.

Happy Holidays!
